Rhinoplasty Denver: Teenage Cosmetic Surgery
What Your Teen Should Consider Before Getting Plastic Surgery
We live in a day and age in which undergoing plastic surgery is as common as going to the dentist or the hairdresser. More and more people are getting nose jobs, breast implants, facelifts and other types of rhinoplasty. Nowadays, even teenagers are going to surgeons to get their features “fixed”.
But is plastic surgery on teens really a wise option?
What You and Your Teen Should Think About Before Undergoing the Knife
1. Growing Pains
When you’re a teenager, a lot of things are happening to you physically, emotionally and mentally. But know that plastic surgery may not be the answer to your problems. Give time and nature a chance to adjust things for you. If you’re worried about being flat-chested and want breast implants, for example, wait it out a few years. Give your body time to develop and grow.
2. No “Undo” Button
Secondly, know that when you go under the knife, you can’t “undo” it once it’s over. If you don’t like how your new nose looks like, for example, you can’t go back to the old. Be ready to bear the consequences of your decision.
3. Money Matters
Finally, rhinoplasty costs money. And you’ll need follow-up treatments all your life. Be sure your wallet can fund that.
